Requirements Qualifications and skills
• Advanced University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent.
• Fluent in English (written, spoken, understanding), French will be an asset.
• Excellent reporting and communication skills.
General professional experience
• Preferably 10 years of relevant professional experience in the fields of private sector development and public/private finance;
• Long and significant exposure to ACP issues (political, economic and social);
• Significant and broad experience in private sector development issues, trade and investment and regulatory frameworks;
• Demonstrated ability to make oral and public presentations of technical issues;
• Experience of working with various stakeholders in a multi-cultural context;
• Experience and knowledge in project management and implementation issues.
Specific professional experience
• Working experience in developing countries on several of the following areas:
• Must have in-depth knowledge and a practical experience of business environment reforms and management of program funded by the European Union through the EDF;
• Must have in-depth knowledge in private sector development, particularly in relation to public and private finance and business environment reforms;
• Good knowledge of trade and investment development issues in ACP countries;
• Familiar with Private sector development support programs and donors practices in ACP countries.

EC rules applicable to any EC assignment
• Working days are from Monday to Friday, if not indicated otherwise in the ToR
• Per Diem covers all expenses of the expert (local transport, hotel, meals, telecom, etc.) and it is only paid if the expert stays overnight.
• International travel: the EC only reimburse economy class flight tickets
